Nice to see you posting an update. Always exciting to hear what you are up to. I was pretty surprised to see your choice of seats. I bought the whole interior out of a '96 Sunfire about 2 years ago, to install in my project car. Of course they're identical (except the fabric) to your Cavalier seats. I have started to mock up the mounting brackets for them, but haven't finished yet. For the rear seat I took the cover off of the Sunfire upper seat cushion frame, complete with the foam (which is fused to the fabric somehow). Then I merely slipped this new cover with foam buns over my stock Maverick upper seat cushion frame. It will only require a little tuck in the lower corners for a perfect fit. The Sunfire lower cushion doesn't fit the Maverick lower frame as well. I'm still working on that, and may end up fabbing up something from scratch. Please post details of your solution to this problem when you get to it. I would certainly appreciate hearing how you skin this cat. John B.
That is real nice. I reconized the gauges as we have a 95 T-Bird. I just had to rebuild the speedo because one of the little plastic gears had stripped. There is a guy on the TCCoa site that rebuilds them if your's gives you trouble. When the gear strips the odometer and trip odometer stop working. So if you get one out of a junk yard and the trip odometer is all zeros that usually means the gear is busted inside. clint
