'71 Grabber San Jose checking in. Anyone know where I might get an inexpensive, grabber, 2 scoop, hood? Know of anyone willing to fix it with minimum bondo? It is bent in at the front. Also need to replace the C4 transmission or get it repaired. Any leads? I have a 302 installed.
I am fairly new to mechanics, but I would love to meet up with some Maverick owners. Lets keep this thread going, and see how many people are down.
I pulled one out of my 71 comet gt, it is straight 6 c4 but would work on a low hp 302 with a different converter and flexplate. it shifted good when I drove the car but nonetheless would be a good core at that price. Was a floor shift car so it has some of the wiring for the floor shift. $50
I just didn't realize how many Maverick's were around San Jose! I'm putting my 408 back together, putting some Aerospace Component discs on the front and rear and trying to get ready for the drag racing season. First two day test and tune is at Somoa in early April. The Maverick is a race only car, not for the street. Picture of the Maverick waiting for the engine/trans.
Concord checking in! Haven't seen any other Mavericks while driving around up here just yet but boy do they get attention!
