I happen to like this blue. There was a Comet for sale on here I was going to buy that was this color, but the guy flaked out.

Its a real love it or hate it color I found. I didnt mind it at all and would have left it that color no problem if the body was better than it was. It looks alot better in the pics than it did in person.

I don`t have any "before" pics of mine...but it looked EXACTLY like this (D.A.B.`s car) except mine didn`t have the dual exhaust. It was a one owner car that was completely stock. 302 ,bench seat, column shift, factory air. Bought it 08/20/83.

Thanks, it's a '71 Torino my dad had for about 6 months in 2008. More pics of it here: http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=40203&highlight=Torino&page=2#17 and if you click my youtube channel below, a video of it is the first thing that pops up. That thing sure did cruise down the highway nice. Don't know the where-abouts of the car now, just hope it's being well taken care of.

This turned out to be a great thread. It shows the guys that are in the process of saving an old MAv/Comet what can be accomplished. Those cars that start out looking like wrecks can turn out pretty damn nice in the end. :thumbs2:

Originally: 302, p/s, a/c, auto, bench, column shift, Grabber Blue (painted over), white painted top (faded and painted over), add-on hitch :thumbs2:

now: carb'd 5.0 roller engine, FRPP roller rockers, 3G alternator, serp belt, late model p/s pump, all factory a/c removed, T5 5sp, front manual disc brakes, 17x9 polished Bullitt wheels, Grabber hood & spoiler, Deluxe interior with bench seat, painted back to factory colors; Grabber Blue with Wimbledon White painted top

and to beat it all, just about everything was completed in a 16 month period..... but it's never done
