    Hello all, first post!
I've been reading this forum for about a year and love it- but anyways...
Anyone know of a quality source, preferable made in usa, ignition cylinders? I've noticed, unlike my '72 f250, that many oem style parts are of poor quality. I'm getting close to end of a restore on a 1971 comet gt and just a few more things to go...
BTW I am familiar with many classic ford parts dealers but would like to hear who/what you guys use.

While I dunno where would be best source for new, you definitely don't want used... By the time Fords of the '70s were a few years old and had 35-40K miles was common the ears were already floppy and loose...

Not to be argumentative, but mine has 189,000 miles on it and it still works fine. Not floppy or loose at all.
There's at least a chance that a good used one could be found.

I bought one from Melvin's. I had no problem with it.

You realize that this will cause you to have different ignition and door keys unless you have them re-keyed. The other option is a full lock set.
