big 3 upgrade

    Ok so im tryong to do the big upgrade. My question is the wire thts suppose to go from alternator to batrery, the positive wire. The positive wire on the alterbator goes to the solinoud. Ib the big 3 its suppose to run from alternator to battery. Am I doing sonething wrong or do I leave that wire or wat

    Big 3 upgrade....Its a term used for car audio and it means upgrading the factory wiring to something larger 4ga+. Upgrade positive wire from alternator to battery, upgrade battery to chassis ground and upgrade chassis to engine ground. It is supposed to help remove electrical bottlenecks.

    Sean, to answer your question it should be fine either way. On my truck I ran wire directly from alt to battery and from battery to solenoid which I believe to be more efficient.

    It's understandable, the term is not really used outside the car audio world.
