One of the absolute BEST mods one can do to a big-bumper.

Thanx for the helpful info and pictures frank? I like it better than the telephone pole idea. I tried to staighten one that way after a night of bumper tag once, it came out worse than when I started(in my ranger not my mav of course).

    I have a 1975 Maverick
1975 front bumper slide no welding

I took of the fornt bumper shocks and where the mounting holes are I measured 2-5/8"
back from each existing hole and made a ciricle where to drill. I then placed one plate on top or the other and held them together with vick gripes on both ends so the two plates are held together securely. I then drilled the two hole going through both mounts brackets at the same time. I then rebulted mounts and put everthing back together. Back bumper is completely different. No welding no welding back was not the same.

Sal, do you have pictures? I want to do this but don't have a welder.
