The more I look at it the more Im liking it.... I think Im going to do this(not with the rear bumper though), but Im not putting it so far back it blocks the marker unless it just doesnt look right, then I'll probably relocate or remove the markers altogether. Ill post pics when Im done
when i bought my 76 theses were sitting in my car with the front bumper and i was really wondering why he shorted them untill i saw this thread lol
so we just cut it and weld it back on??? that bracket doesnt look tampered with.. it just looks shorter
could someone post a picture of a mav without the bumper tuck and one with the bumper tuck side by side? cause im not finding any difference in looks here.
As someone else said "the more I see it the more I like it" If I ever get to build the wagon I would have to consider large bumpers now
Definitely looks better but I would go further and section it so the sides are closer to the fender. Then I'd shave off the back edge off the sides so they dont stick back so far. Yea, I know this is an old thread but Im in a hotel room in Effingham at 5 in the morning so what else do I got to do.
I agree but think I would take a vertical slice just back of the edge that covers the marker so that the bumper would have a finished edge.
for my 74 comet i plan to do the slide initially. my long term plan involves a narrower bumper that lines up with the front fenders.... havent seen anything i like for the back yet, but i got time
