I was cruising the net for some mav pics when I came across this forum. I was impressed. So I thought I would try it out. My first car was a 72 mav 2dr and soon there after a 71 Comet GT 302 floor shift 3-speed. After 7 other mav/comet cars including my favorite of all time, My 72 Grabber 302 with a 351C transplant and C4 w/stall and 4.57 gears. shaved handles, monochrome Porsche raspberry paint and more. I sold that car *tears* to raise money for starting a business venture. Now I am getting a little older but the Maverick in me won't go away. I recently purchased a 73 2dr. that I will build into my dream car. No matter how long it takes me. Plans include the "Pro-street" treatment with full cage and a 514 BB with a shot of nitrous. A reliable 9 sec street car is my goal. I often think about my favorite hobby "mavericking" and I am glad to see I am not alone. :D
