Blower motor wiring issues. Help needed.

    If your heater/AC box had that much stuff in it, I wonder what your cowl looks like...

    Update for my heater issues. The plenum is great with only light surface corrosion and no rust. There are some pine needles and some crap in there but nothing that is blocking anything etc. Pretty darn good for 40 yrs!

    Got a new core and put it all back together and reinstalled tonight. Switched her on and she fired up straight away without issue. Feels great to have solved the issues!

    I do have one question though. To get the demister etc working does the motor have to be running to get the vacuum stuff doing its thing? Also, does the compressor need to be operational to have full functioning of the fan / vent controls inside of the car?

    While im here, thanks again to all that threw their two bob in and gave me advice. Great stuff. Thanks guys.

    Yes the engine needs to be running in order to operate any of the vacuum controls.

    No....the compressor does not need to be functional in order to operate the fan/vent controls inside the car.
