ouch. you can cook on that thing like a griddle though! my old f150 had a steel diamond plate cap on the tailgate. when my friends went to go throw it closed one handed, they would get a hernia.
If you look closely you can see a part on the edge that had gotten bent. A friend asked to work one day. We got to the job site pulling a trailer. He had put the gate up when we left the shop. Well, we get to the job site and he got out and let the gate down. He poped the latch and let the gate fall. It fell... and caught his middle finger between the gate and the trailer jack! He mentioned how close to the gate the jack was on the way to the site. I told him I was going to move that someday. That kinda moved the project up the scale of things to do.
thats looking pretty sweet but you may want to put something behind it to protect from large objects like birds hitting your radiator... there is metal with small holes in it we use in our sword helms or even larger grille metal you could put right in front of the radiator. i know it sounds funny but just last week a friend sucked a slow pigeon under his subaru because it hesitated flying off the highway... LOL DOH i missed the mesh part, that is the helm metal i use...hehe
Is it too late for suggestions? because I thought that something like this would look cool. (maybe not quad headlights though)
Looks like a single bar like shape. The pic is kinda dark, like the one I had posted. Kinda hard to see what exactly is going on in there. Also, the ideas can come anytime.
