two places i see missed a lot on repaint is the ...wheelwell lip...and ...under the rocker panel to the pinch welds. ......
good lord looks like hes scratching the crap outa the metal, are you painting it original color? what paint code color is it...firewall looks great
Dave, it's coming along well and looking great! In the days before digital pictures I had my son's pickup painted as a high school graduation present. When I would complain about lack of progress on the truck, the guy doing the work would spray a new coat of primer on it of a different color to make me think he was working on it. Eventually after 18 months I took it away from him and gave it to another paint shop. They stripped it and found eight coats of different colored primer on it! Three years and $9K later he finally got his truck. Thank goodness, it really looked good!
Dave, do you think you could share the name of the bodyshop with me? I really want to get rolling with the restoration of our Comet and it would be great to have it done by a shop that has just finished a similar car.
damn i give you guys credit for doing things like this... thats hard core painting! it should look really nice when it is done!
Back in the booth for it's last shot of primer, it's been expoxied and block sanded, so next it color!! Maybe prepainted later this week.
