Just installed the 800330 Borgeson Pump. It's on the last row of crank pulley and the pulley for the Borgeson Pump uses a smaller belt...Like alternator size.

So I attempt to swap the pulley from the old pump to the new pump and she's no fit. The Borgeson Pump uses a 3/4" diameter shaft which is a hair too big for the old stock pulley. The new pulley literally falls on the old steering pump shaft... super loose.

So I email Borgeson and they state the larger belt from the stock pulley should be fine on the smaller pulley of the new pump.

    Has anyone run into this?

    Thanks

At higher RPM, I doubt the large belt will stay in place.

I've used narrower belt on wide pulley without issues.

I agree, as long as the belt rides on the side without making contact in the bottom of the groove you will be fine.

I am not sure what the question means, smaller belt width , or length of the belt?
I am using their pump and no issue other than using a slightly shorter belt.
