That is a picture of a Maverick, I saw it listed on e-bay about 6 months ago as an incompleted project. It was a nice car. The guy bought the car and all the parts to complete it and somehow backed out or realized the Cleaveland would'nt fit as well as once thought.
all ive got is a 302 in mine, and i still wish i had more room. wish i had cut my shock towers back a little ways while there was no motor in it. but i get great performance with what i have. im pretty happy with that.
The thing is,why go with a 351c,with lack of space, when you can put in a 302 based 347,use regular headers and be able to change the plugs without pulling the motor or cutting the towers?Just MO
good point, 351 has great heads though. and i think is probly stonger... to much work though. p.s. i like your signature
Yea I would go with the 331 stroker. You can make 400+ HP easy and still be driveable, still have good rod to stroke ratio (1.66:1) and EVERYTHNG fits the same. That HP would make a Maverick an 11 second car with the right set up.
awesome guys, i would personally rather have a stroker for fitment reasons, but a 351 windsor stroker wouldnt be to bad.
so i went and looked at the mav last night and it is not a boss 302. it is just a stock 74 maverick grabber. i'm getting it so my brother can have a car. he is on here a mav99. the mav needs a rear window and one of the rear windows on the passanger side. the roof is dented in, the top layer of paint is peeling off, and it probly hasen't been started in at least 6 years. but i'm getting it for free. what a deal for a 74 whith buckets, floor sifter, and a stock 302. my brother is 16 and he is probly already posting a thread about this car.
Why use 347 cubes when you can take a C or W and get 408 without breaking a sweat... 427 if you are brave? :bananaman
