thanks alot, ive been looking for 3 years, finally got all but 1 of my kids grown, so now i can reward myself, im going to keep it clean and stock appearing, i want a well mannered 302 for engine with around a 500 lift cam pumpgas so im thinking around 9 to1 comp.,ill prolly get a set of 210 runner procomp heads, from my buddy he gets them bare and details them himself, good hi vol. oil pump, air gap intake 750 double pumper holley,c4 trans with a shift kit, but nothing to crazy, maybe a 355 to 373 gear, so im def looking for a 8 inch posi chunck, ill order a 3500 stall from revmax ,set of 2 1/2 dual exhaust with flows, cal track bars, trick springs for front, and 3 way shocks 90/10 setting, leaving the interior stock and the stock shifter, also looking for a set of weld wheels, going to run a 275 street sticky on back 4 in front this is my dream, i could go on and on, ive had these plans for awhile, i know the heads are alittle big, but i want to have the flow incase i go more cubit inchs in the future ,347 or 393 not sure ,i need a header part # for the 302 , i figure it should run 12.0s easy and drive anywhere

Nice find - really great starting point for a project :thumbs2:

How did you find this so close to home - was it hidden away in a garage or you just never got up that way?

Great find. looking forward to seeing you in Somerset in July. The bell on the 250 is the same as the one on a 302. The tranny will eventually need to be beefed up a bit to handle the 302. :)

how i found it was a friend of mine said he had a friend with a old car for sale, cheap, and it was a ford, so i had him ask to see what it was ,i was at best hoping to get a good sbf motor and trans ect for a future maverick, well he calls me back and sez jay its a maverick and the guy got it from his grandma ,it has like 35000 miles, but its wrecked,i figure even if its totaled im interested, has to have some good parts,so i get the # and call the guy, he sez yea i hit a deer ,its the 2nd time in 5 years,he sez if i can give him a few days he will send pics ,i say your only a few miles away ill come up ,today, lol and im glad i did ,its the same color as mine was in high school the interior is different ,mine was just brown with a western type design on the seats, well thats the story

Jay I may have the motor your looking for. Now that I'm putting a coyote in mine I won't be using it. It's a 310ci with Windsor heads build with a lot of my spare NMRA pure street parts. PM me and I can give more details
