Big, unfortunately I think not. I'll finish the bodywork on a 10 or 15 days ... (I'm redoing the trunk to let the tank higher and let the differential more visible) I'll have to mount the suspension and brakes before painting, for welding and for some adjustments .. then goes to the paintjob .. is that despite being simple, the painter wants 30 or 40 days to complete. then the start of the mechanical assembly ... then I'll send the car to Sao Paulo for the installation of the exhaust, and perhaps the electrical . . then the car back here, for installation of the interior, glasses, etc. .. long story short .. Not this year! maybe in the fall of next year I know one thing ... are already making almost 8 months since I work in the car all day! every single day!! and night ...and day...and night...
Ah...dang... well a extra year on my generous time estimate...not to bad all things considered! I got lucky with my exhaust found a guy ...3 miles away who custom fabricated one and installed in same day...and came in under his estimated cost....only luck I have had so far with my beast Hoping to get it driving within a month, sick of walking around in this 100 plus heat...and I miss driving, I only drove my car 3 times before it broke down. Can't wait to actually drive it more! Loving all the
at least you drove your car! you know how good is. I still do not! I never ride my Maverick! but I have good news for me .. at least .. Today I bought a 302 block ,then, soon I'll have to buy a Maverick to put the engine!
Buying another maverick....sweet Yeah that would suck to of not even driven your maverick yet...but at least yours is going to be worth driving
True enough...but driving one with some power would be fun. The 200cid..not so much. I actually just got a 2nd maverick a 1972 has no motor or transmission... if you lived closer I would sell it to you for what I paid $200. The guy was going to have it hauled off to scrap yard, he said he was going to have it hauled the next day. So just in time to prevent it from getting crushed.
wow!! 200!! man...I am looking for a 4 cylinder for 10 grand !!!! cheaper than that I would have to rebuild whole car.. by here, per 200 bucks, you would have difficulty finding a used tail light!
Yeah...I paid 1800 for my 1971 with 200cid , c4. I was surprised at finding one for $200 even though it has no motor or transmission. I have to find a place to store it now...or sell it to someone else who wants to fix one up. I don't have a place for it. I just didn't want to see it get recycled into soup cans or something.
