I totally agree with you 100%. That is why when ever I sell something I pride myself on the packing and preparation or I won't ship it.
I have received parts that were broken and improperly packed with not so much as a scratch on Box and seller wanted to still blame DSL and or FEDEX..

I feel your pain. Such a waste of money and time!!!!!

I purchased a cluster core from rick miller this week. The cluster and parts showed up absolutely fantastic. The packaging was a work of art. Thank you rick for restoring my faith in humanity. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.....

Glad you made this post, I forgot to leave Trader Feedback for you!

I figured I had better pack it well after my posts, no point getting involved and then becoming part of the problem! I'll keep you in mind if I come across any more clusters.

This is what I got a couple months back. A pair of 2k heads aluminum with no packing material.

I have sold a fair amount of parts here and on eBay. How much effort to pack it right is thought out before I start the process. For dash clusters, I would recommend a" box in a box" .... even if only shipping one. Put cluster in a box, in a plastic bag, then stuffed with bunched paper. Then that box goes in a bigger box with packing peanuts. A lot of effort, but it will make it there.

Wheels ... my company sells a lot of custom wheels. Each is in a box, and two of those boxes fit into another outer box. So, a set of 4 wheels arrive in two separate boxes. Decent size for FedEx. Even packed like this, you have to be careful. Many newer wheels are black powdercoat. I have seen where the wheel in the bottom of the stack, lying face down, will slide back and forth in shipping with weight stacked on it from above. Just a half inch of slack in that box is enough. The movement from shifting in transit may be enough to scratch through the powdercoat on the inner and outer rim edges, by rubbing on the cardboard. A plastic bag probably would have saved a ton of grief. The boxes arrived in very nice shape, but two wheels didn't. $300+ a piece ....

That's exactly what I did with the cluster I sent Tim. Wrapped in bubble wrap, boxed and then into another box with more packaging.
