not to get off topic, but how many of you have sprayed on basically stock engine?(aka) not forged internals. A engine survive a small shot for awhile cant it?
ive sprayed a 200 shot on a stock bottom end chevy 350. it eventualy spun a rod bearing. ive sprayed a 150 shot on a 302 that i rebuilt my self when i was young and didnt know what i was doing. it ended up eating up the crank because i had the rods in backwards. i have never damaged any pistons, or blown any head gaskets with nitrous. i ran a 175 shot on my 5.0 mustang that only had trw forged pistons in its bottom end. all of the cars that i have used nitrous on have had a timing retard of some time and an eletric fuel pump to garente enough fuel.
I have noticed that all articals that start with Build X motor for under X amount of dollars, always starts with we got a motor at a junk yard and traded this and that part of it for machine work. I dont mind articals like this but I dont know many machine shops that would swap out machine work for a stock 302 FI intake manifold.
