bumper striping and paint

    i have my hood basically done its wet sanded in primer to 400grit and will stay there till i finish all the body work and get her painted all at the same time. started on the passenger side fender this week but i was looking at my front bumper (dont have a rear one yet if anyone has a cheap one i dont care what the condition is just cheap with the brackets thanks) and the chrome is peeling and its rusting do i just stripe it down it like 60-80 grit and then smooth it out like idk up to 220. and what paint it best to just seal it i know primer but ive seen some use the rusteloum gloss black and it looks sweet anyone done this can you give me pointers thanks
