    Wow, you may be running lean on the primary jets!
    Have you tried stepping up the jets a size or two?

    I have opened up the Primary flow with the smallest rod (most flow). I have 3 sets of "larger" jets I can go to. Is that the recommendation at this point?

    Do I need to mess with the secondary jets, or am I fine, since it runs good at WOT...:huh:

    Carb adjustment is very hard over the net... ;)

    The reason I jumped on the jet wagon all the sudden is that you say it runs fine to a point (on the primary), then seemingly runs out of fuel just before the secondary. After the secondary comes on line, then problem is gone again.

    The accel pump is only an issue when the throttle is in motion.
    Sounds to me like everything is leveling off when you have issue, then movement of the throttle into the secondary helps. This would suggest something other than accel pump since the move into the secondary itself would be an issue... Not the holding of the throttle just under the secondary.

    Make sense?

    Got ya! Plus I know that without being there and hearing or feeling the issue, it is difficult to diagnose the problem

    I have never swapped the jets because they are a little more difficult to get to where the rods can be swapped in less than a minute. I have gone to the richest rods in the set but still have 3 richer sets of jets.

    I will just have to be brave and swap to a different jet and see if I can lose this last bit of hesitation.

    I think you are right on with the diagnosis. It took me many posts to accurately describe what is really going on.

    Well, I swapped out the .095 jets with 2 jets richer, a .101. Haven't had a chance to try it out, but will hopefully get it off the wheel dollies tomorrow and see what's up...

    I had a 1406 edelbrock on my 9.5:1 compression 302, and it worked fine for the application it was on... the 650 holley i had tended to run too "fat" and sooty...so i stepped down to the 1406 and it ran fine...

    however, when i was going up a steep incline of about 30 to 45 degrees from take off, it would want to starve. The webber design it's based off of works fine, however, holley's rear fuel bowl helps gather fuel when going up a hill, or say, lifting the front wheels up...<--- my goal one day.
