I’m going to swap from a column shifter to a floor shifter in my 73 maverick. It’s a 302/C4, and I’m wondering if anybody has used a cable type Lokar shifter in their swap. The shifter itself is pretty uncomplicated, the part I’m wondering about is the shift arm on the C4. Apparently the arm is in the down position, as opposed to many of the other applications where the arm is in the up position. I see Lokar makes a selector shaft where there are 6 or 8 positions the selector arm can be mounted in. Has anyone used this selector arm and what we’re your experiences?

lokar no. But my B&M cable shifter had the original shifter arm in the down position, then had a new arm that bolted right ontop of it.
