Dan; looked, and the part is not here. Must have lost it or let it go a few years ago. Sorry. I will ask a friend that is in the trans business, see if he can locate one.
dan, here is the piece i made for mine.(sorry for the bad pictures) it slips over the shaft with two pieces extending over the trans lever. if these don't make any sense to you, i will take it off and get a better picture.was in a hurry today. i will drew a sketch to try and clearify the photos.works great on my car.
I see you welded to the original .... Thanks .... Just curious .... what gear is the tranny in when you have the lever at 12:00 (or is it 1:00 ) like you show in your picture? I assume that is park?
in the picture the trans is in park, and shifter is in park. all gears line up with shifter letters still adjustable under shifter. that is like a big washer, so it will slid on and off. not welded to trans. sorry about the explaination, i have a hard time trying to tell how i did something.did you get my pm i sent you?
Dan, here's a pic of the lever I got from a '75 Monarch. Not sure if you're planning to use a factory neutral safety switch mounted on the tranny, but if so, this is what you need since it has the "dog" on it that turns the switch.
What about the back-up lights? Mine never worked after I converted to a floor-shifter, so is the back-up light switch integral with the neutral safety switch, or is it a separate switch?...
backup lites they are also part of the neutral switch it's a black wire with a pink tracer put it in reverse and test with a lite at the b/p wire
B&M makes a cable conversion for Mustangs to be able to install a C-4. I bet that would work. It comes with cable, linkage piece for the tranny, etc.
