Kitty litter works wonders. The stain that really sucks is when you drop a used oil filter and it don't land in your drain pan.
Vacuum lines aren't meant for any fluids, and quite often they get soft and swell if you have a modulator leak. I would replace the vacuum lines with fresh ones as well.
