The capacity of the C4 is between 9 and 11 quarts when it is dry. The only way to fill it is to have the car idling in park while you fill it and check the level. Fill it until it registers half way between the ADD and FULL marks. Then put it through the gears (all of them) several times and fill it to the same level again. Road test until it reaches normal operating temp. (a couple of long hills or accelerating to highway speeds a few times with the throttle on the floor) Then check it again in park with the engine idling. As long as it is above the add mark you are ok but if it is over the full mark you need to drain a bit out.
