    Todd,
The one on the passenger side is the intermediate band. The one on the drivers side is at the rear of the transmission and is the reverse and low band -it should be backed off 3 turns.
Try adjusting the front band - on the driver's side.

The dual line modulator was a try at getting smoother operation that failed. The second (front) vacuum line goes to the EGR valve so that when it is open it raises the pressure but there wasn't the differential that Ford expected. The best thing you can do is plug the second line at the EGR plate where it connects and use the green stripe modulator. You will have to modify the clamp that holds the modulator in place because the hose has to attach at the rear of the green stripe modulator.

Paul, you got me confused now. I'm looking at my Chiltons manual and the intermediate band in their illustration is behind the shift linkage on the drivers side of the car. The image with the caption of "low-reverse band" has the vacuum modulator next to the band adjustment, which would be on the passenger side, correct? Or does Chilton's have the images wrong?

Thanks again for all the help

Yes, the adjustment for the front band is on the drivers side. The servo is on the opposite side. I was thinking servo and you were thinking the adjusting screw - Sorry to confuse you. You did fine - sorry.
