C4 swap

    this is for a friend-- will a C4 from a 73 mav (302) bolt up to a 289 in a 65 ford falcon... the 289 is a 1965 motor also... he has a ford-omatic and wants to buy a c4 that I have laying around... whats the value of C4, torque and flywheel worth, all in good condition...:huh::huh: thks RON

    Have him count the bell housing bolts on his current trans. If he has 6 bolts it will fit. 65 was the year of the change in bellhousing patterns but you never know.

    Not sure what a good used setup is worth 200-250 dollars US

    it should bolt up...but i am not 100% sure
    well i paid 650 to rebuild my tranny....and the 2500 hughes convertor was 250...

    stock convertors are 80-120 i think......used tranny is still a used tranny....i would say no more than 350....

    or i should say i wouldnt pay more than 350 for it


    friends always remember good deals from good friends.....
    and they tend to reciprocate good deals...

    is there anything he has that you would like to trade for?
