lol...That is a little more than my put-put toy needs, but those cal tracs really are genius. I just want to figure out what or if I might stack something on my springs before I get lowering blocks.
Yeah I got the 1” lowering leaf. As far as the cal trac if your up to it they are easy to make. Lots of people have done the home built instead of buying them I had the money and was just easier for me to buy them haha
I have them on my car and they work well on a prepped track . I have single mono leafs and their shocks with a set of 275/50/15 Mickey Thompsons . I have 1.38 sixty foot times and high 9's in the quarter . On the street they do no good as far as traction on my car, but I don't have any complaints about the ride or excessive noise . Car has a factory 8.8 limited slip in it as well .
you can’t go to the track and expect it to hook the same on the street you need to adjust your suspension. Tires tune ect... and do you mean a 8” these cars never came with an 8.8
Yeah as far as traction on the street I have Holley Efi and Davis traction control. I run around 17 degrees total timing and the system pulls out 12 degrees when it sees a large slip but still manages to blows the tires off. Maybe you guys have a suggestion as to how to tune the suspension or engine for the street . Would be nice to be able to hook up on the street
My car 60 fts. in the 1.25-1.28 range. My ride makes 685 HP and has been 9.31-144 in the quarter and 5.89 @ 115 in the eighth. 2 ply leaf springs and Cal Trac shocks. Love them!
