    Brand new Comet owner

Not only am I a new 1st time Comet owner I'm new to car forums. I just purchased a solid, virtually unmolested '74 302. Like the illusive "barn find" this car is a complete and solid California original (even the AM radio works). It has 43,028 original miles and runs like a dream (not 35K as I originally posted). The only downside is the back window was busted (replacement came with sale) and there is some water damage behind the seat. It hasn't been registered in Cali since 2001. It appears to have been garaged most of its life until recently (very dusty, spider webs underneath). I originally planned to flip it to by another muscle car but I may restore it completely. My dilema is should I keep it original or modify it. I've always dreamed of restoring a car to original condition but I'm not crazy about the color scheme (brown w/tan interior). Thanks for listening. Your comments are welcome.
