Can a wrapped LDO steering wheel be re-dyed?

    That is very informative, thanks. I agree that would be dye.So is the leather stuff. It permeates. However, I cannot see that process occurring with the cold spray on SEM products, so I will stand by my statement., until someone ed-ja -macates me ..lol

    Well here goes nothing. I read a few reviews of Rustoleums vinyl and fabric dye and figured I'd try it on the stg wheel. The leather wrap is far from perfect but if it works out, at least I'll have a functioning horn.

    Clean and degreased.

    A few light coats first on the areas the color was worn thru. Then a couple more light coats.

    Got it out in the sun drying. Time will tell if this product works but I'll let you know. (y)

    That turned out pretty nice. It will be interesting to see how it holds up. Keep us posted.

    It does look good, and at least if it starts to wear off, the material underneath is blue.
