Can I leave this unpainted?

    Heres the oil pan I bought. I like the finish as is. I do t ever drive I the rain or any kind of crap conditions. Anyone here leave their oil pan like this and have ruating issues? Surface rust? I may clear it if so. Thoughts?

    it's coated, you shouldn't have any issues.

    I believe I have the same pan. It is not an anodized finish. It didn't last long. When I pulled the motor out again, I powder coated the pan.

    A rattle can of engine high temp clear will give you added protection and peace of mind. I did that to mine.

    I think you can buy clear engine enamel. If you like the color clear over it.

    The pan does not rust it just does not keep its shine without wiping it down every time you drive the car. Clear coating is a great idea
