A couple beers, a sharpie, a yardstick, a piece of posterboard and a few drill bits. That's all it took to ruin a good hood....but I like it! (y)

You sick..... S.O.B. you killed a hood!!!!

    Just kidding :biglaugh: Looks awesome!
Now if that had been a original grabber hood with vents...
You could be upset at yourself :D
As I saw one go rust free for 1800 not 2 weeks ago.
Could buy another maverick running for that.

Well my vacation is over and I got the Maverick back on the road again. The fuel cell worked out great as far as I can tell.....no more gas jug in the trunk! I have a brace to go under the trunk floor panel where the fuel cell is, but the paint is drying.

The fuel hose is Parker Push-Lok. It's a $%$#% to install, but it's resistant to Ethynol.

The car is around 90% complete mechanically now, just have to install a new heater core and some electrical items on the inside. I gave up on installing the exhaust myself. I wasn't happy with how close is was to the new parking brake cables so it's going to the exhaust shop next week.

12 will work for me. I'm probably not going to drive it far. It should have a range of over 200 miles though.

I'd rather have a stock tank but it's nearly impossible to find a good one (sorry I don't do the coating thing). This was a very easy install and it all unbolts if a good tank come available. This cell has a GM style sender so I just bought a GM style gauge to mount in my gauge panel.

I once had a chance to buy a 70, with a brand new tank...the rest of the car was so rotten, I passed, I should have bought it just for the tank :(

Got the car out...made sure everything's working and nothings going to fall off for the trip to an exhaust shop first thing in the morning. Gotta get a front pipe made and mated to my turbo muffler.

Made the 30 miles trip without a hitch. Thrush Turbo sounds nice and mellow. The main thing I asked the shop was to not have the outlet sticking out.
