Here's a link to the item where I got it.

The Comet hood emblem was perfect but I sold it already. I still have to hood molding on ebay but no bites. I need to re-cover some of the money I spent on the Comet but not much luck so far. I figured someone would need the bucket seats at least.

    Thanks for posting the link.

Now looking at the picture of the cap, if I saw that on a store shelf, I would pass on it. It looks too dark.

Did you use just a light spray on it?

Did it seem if you put it one heavier, it would get darker?

Sorry to pester you with this. The interior color on my Explorer is pretty uncommon and if I mess these parts up, I would have a very hard time replacing them.

It coats well and the color stays consistant. The wheel has some wear at the 10 oclock position so I coated that area first, then the rest. Probably 2 coats total.

I got a LDO woodgrain dash panel from Craig so the woodgrain stg wheel wouldn't look so out of place. I really want to add the Maverick dash emblem to it though.

Also got my dash paint in. I guess the next step is getting the upper dash painted, dash pad installed from the Comet and replace the windshield using the one from the Comet.

I ran across these vids ny MTF on windshield installation that will help.

I still haven't got my MIG fully switched over from flux yet but as soon as the windshield is back in I need to start patching the quarters and inner aprons.

How much are those woodgrain pieces worth? I've got one for a non a/c car and one for an a/c car.

I like it. I wonder if the pattern in the wood grain is the same on all of them..

Tri City's Plating as recommend here. Looks great. Time will tell if it lasts. This bumper was first done by Bumper Boyz and it starting rusting as soon as I put it on. To be fair, my rear they did has held up good.

The project has stalled due to home improvements that I had to do. I'm getting that stuff wrapped up but I really can't go any further until I get the 75 Comet 4dr I bought stripped. I need parts from it for this and my Mustang project so it's coming into the garage this weekend so I can get started.

After I get the parts off, I'm going to sell the body for scrap unless I find someone needing a good 4dr hull. Solid cowl and minor qtr rust.

run soapy water and steel wool and go nuts on the glass, take your time and do in uniform, but youll clean that up to brand new glass. Did that to all my glass :D They look OEM.
