cant remember, tie rod differences for brakes.

    i cant remember do drum brake spindles use a different tie rod than disk brake spindles?

    If your drum spindles are 74 and older then yes. In 75 they used a larger tie rod end.

    I think it depends on what month the '75 donor car was made. If memory serves, the difference is that the shaft is taller and the eyelet for the cotter pin is higher, so it would be far above the castle-nut unless you switch to the later tie rod ends. I had to change mine, but a friend of mine did not have to change his, and both setups came from a '75 (his from a Maverick and mine from a Comet). Our Mavericks are both '73s.

    im acutally going the other way. im taking the stock disk brake spindles off of my maverick and putting the drum brake spindles with my wilwood disk brakes from my old car on. so i guess it depends on what donated the disk brakes to this car. ill just put new tie rods in to have new tie rods.
