Craig could be right, are any of your fuel lines close to the exhaust system? I had a similar problem once the fuel line was about 8 inches above the exhaust. When the car sat for a while in traffic it would vapor lock. I wrapped the line with a heat reflective wrap which solved the problem.
I think that's it!!!!!! I was wondering last night if that was possible, but I decided that the boiling temp of gas would be higher than that. Whenever it quits getting fuel into filter, I can see a haze in the filter. When I move the pump to the rear, do you think it will solve my problem? I really think you are onto something Mr. Selvey. And Maverick1970, what sort of reflective wrap? Like an aluminum wrap? I think this is gonna fix it. Here's hoping!! Preston P.S.- Believe it or not, the solenoid problem seems to have worked itself out! I have cranked and killed it probably 20 times since then, and have not had a problem! Dunno, I guess I'll just wait and see. Thanks ya'll! Preston

Where is the pump mounted in reference to the engine/exhaust right now? I believe you already know this but the pump should really be mounted close to the tank as they are design to push fuel better than pull.
I never did thank all of you for the trouble-shooting and advice you offered me!! It was vapor-locking and the new fuel-pump works great now. Anyway, Thanks once again, and I apoligize for not doing so sooner!!! Preston
