yeah entering car shows is one of the best places for people to approach you about buying their maverick! it happens to me at almost ever show... and heck i bought two of my mavericks this way yeah but if don't know anyone and you win thats even a better slap in the face!
Carlisle is the same way. One year I took my 77, which was a nice car, and I got beat by a half street/half drag car with only half a grill, oil soaked engine compartment, and half stripped interior. Its pretty comical.
thats sounds typical.. how about this one... i seen cars get first place in peoples choice when the hoods are closed... that i don't get. then again my white car got best muscle car one time at a judged show... what you think all the other people said when a maverick beat their restored camaro, pro street chevelle, concorse mustang and what ever other cars where in that class. oh wells. but so its either who has the most friends or who it goes down to taste per judge. but the best part about the car show is hearing all the storys about "they use to have a maverick" or "i don't understand why people don't build theses?" and the best is when people total ingore the 70K corvette and look at a maverick instead.
Rayzorsharp your car is definitely a winner around here. Very nice. Good pics too.:bananaman :bananaman
Rayzorsharp, I'm loving the blue you have on your car. Would you be willing to share what color it is with me? I'll be having my car painted sometime in the near future and have been looking for just the right color.
Nice car I know what you mean about participant judging. I was at a local thing and they had "exhaust drags" pull up, 2 cars rev engine and you cheer. Old Guy's open header Fairmont Dragcar got beat by a jerk in a 80'ish camero (I think thats what it was, some chevy) WITH exhaust.... Just because he had a ton of friends there. Kinda funny when the drags started, he fired up that car and everyone turned and looked at the 'ol Fairmont instead of that car.
