I went with a similar setup but used a Holley carb instead. Dont like the edelbrock carbs.

It's a matter of personal preference. Both Edelbrock and Holley make good carbs.

If you want more performance get a Holley. If you want to slap it on and go and never mess with it get an Edelbrock.

From my experience the combination of the Weiand Stealth dual plane and Summit 600 CFM carburetor at the following links offer the best trouble free performance in their price range. (The Stealth is a taller manifold than the Performer however, hood clearance is not an issue.) The Stealth is also a more aggressive manifold then the Performer. They are both on sale at Summit Racing!!!

Check out the customer reviews. All you will need is a set of manifold gaskets, correct color RTV for the manifold ends and an in-line filter.

I ran this combination for a number of years before switching to a Speed Demon carb. The Speed Demon is more finicky than the Summit carburetor.

If I had to do it all over again I would also run the Weiand manifold

That Stealth is one of the best dual planes out there for the 302 and it is one of the most inexpensive. The Eddy RPM air gap may or may not be superior, but is significantly more expensive.

That's because the Stealth is made in China.

I too prefer the Stealth, but when it came time for me to get one I searched craigslist and ebay. The reason was that I wanted an earlier version that had the rear water crossover. I believe all the newer ones only have the front crossover which is typical with all small block Ford aftermarket manifolds. Ultimately I found one locally for less than $100 that showed little use.
