I adjusted the timing (advanced) the idol was really high though so I backed the throttle screw off a little and its better I got some of my power back. I still have little hesitation when tacking off regardless what i do to timing

The hesitation may be due to slack in the accellerator pump linkage, remove the aircleaner cover, and while looking down into the carb throat, work the throttle linkage, it should shoot fuel the instant you move the lankage open. You can do this while the engine is not running, but be careful that you don't squirt it more than a couple times or you'll end up with an intake manifold full of fuel, making it hard to start.

As far as I can tell it looks like gas is spraying out at any position of the trottle

But does it squirt the instant you move the linkage ? If there's any delay, that will cause a hesitation.

I think baddad nailed it. Although, I have to admit I only breezed through and watched the vid's on the second page.

Sure looks like an accellerator pump lag to me, bud. Tighten/bend the linkage to make sure there is absolutley no slop whatsoever and/or then up the shooters size a step or two. That should give er' some added snot on tip in just like that gnarly-ass 6 deserves.

PS. Make sure the manifold opening is at least matched up, or larger than, the carb's bore size to eliminate any air shearing. Trimming the throttle shaft won't kill performance either. Also.. get rid of that stinkin' choke too! LOL
