i have a 71 maverick and am in the market for some new carpet, the last new carpet i bought was through jc whitney and that was nothing less than crap it didnt fit or look right, so i am looking for some black oem looking carpet anyone have a source? i searched but didnt find anything worthwhile, also what is everyone running for aftermarket buckets? i am looking for some good junkyard scores, so if anyone has pics and what year/model they came out of that would be great! thanks guys
yes that is correct, Auto krafters does sell carpet.. It is ACC brand.. Dan Hines used a 2 pcs set from somewhere and I was wondering how they fit.. Let us know the manufacturer DAN I have mounted 90 camaro buckets in my car.(72). was a breeze to do .. only needed spacers on the front inside corner of track to lift track about 1in.. they look like they belong in the car... some buckets look over done and therefore ruin the effect in my opinion.. Other people had said they used prelude seats, and eclipes seats.. hope this helps a bit.. Might try sunfire seats from a 2 door.. looks like a good fit TTFN RON
hey mavaholic i'm mounting same camero seats in my mav by end of the week, or should have em proped up to see the fit in few days, ether tomorow or thursday pictures will be made ofcourse
or if you want to throw down some big cash, you can get the 69-70 mustang high backs and make it look like a grabber interior.

I like the side bolsters and good hip support. We put full power fox chassis T-bird seats in my dad's pinto, so I know they'll fit in a Mav. They look pretty good and they're very comfortable if you want to go the J/Y way. 6 way power adjustable with lumbar support and the front of the seat extends out for you long leg guys. They come in cloth and two tone vinyl with leather inserts.
These just might fall under "overdone" in some people's opinion, but I happen to like them: They are from a '93 Probe, and installation was not too hard...had to massage the driver's side floor board a bit and use some spacers on the back of both seats. Not sure if it would be harder to install them in a '75 or later cat. converter equipped car...
That's actually an electric cooler. What you see there is the shoulder strap and also part of the seatbelt. I accidentally left it plugged in and turned on the night before and then the entire day of the car show during last year's Roundup and it killed the battery....
I've thought about the Probe seats... but I can never find black...tons of 2nd gen probes at the yard...all with gray cloth...can coth be recolored???? glad to hear that they go in fairly easy...I like the high-back (non-moving headrest) look...would be nice to have seats that recline with lumbar support... where'd the console come from? I had a 94 probe GT at one time AP out..............
More importantly, MavMark, where did you get that center console? The entire interior looks SuWEEET!!! I hope mine looks half as good when I am done.
Glad ya like it! That console is called a 'Humphugger' and I bought it from Mustangs Unlimited a couple years ago. They are available from many different places, mostly Mustang parts places. They are available in all kinds of colors. Mustangs Unlimited has it for $89.99. Here is the link: http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=HH2CVBLK+01 I decided to take mine apart and cut a hole in the front for the power window switches and power mirror switches. I got the switches from an early 80s Lincoln Mark. Here is a picture of that: I have yet to make some kind of bezel around the switches, but it doesn't look all that bad as it is...
