So, does it fit? This is the stuff off of e-bay, right?

I never got an e-mail back from that girl, then I bought an auto darkening welding helmet and never got e-mail confirm back, and figured that when I upgraded to cable "dsl" e-bay still had my old e-mail address... :slap:

    Let's see pics installed!!!

By the way...nice big shop. Lots of room to work (y)

So where did you end up cutting the sill edge to, suggestions?
For the holes needed for the buckles, I was thinking of heating up a point or screw driver and melting the holes, what do you think?

I cut the rear carpet and left it long enough for about an 8 inch or so overlap if I remember correctly. Whenever I make holes in carpets for screws, bolts, seat tracks, etc .... I just use an electric drill in reverse ... it makes a hole but doesn't pull the carpet ...

I just ordered a new green (ivy) carpet and floor mats form ACC yesterday, I hope it looks as good as yours.

I just got an email back from that girl that ordered the e-bay stuff...
Just FYI. Sounds like it may not be too bad a quality...

I had to finish building a gate I had started when the carpet arrived and head back to Dallas for some other jobs :(, so I haven't had the time to finish the carpet install. I had also started the rear A/C install at the same time, need to get the dash tray in and install that too. Between today and tomorrow I am hoping to find someone who will redo my Escort GT seats. So I am on hold again with my Comet :( .

I gave her the address for this thread...it would be cool if she joined us and shared her carpeting experiences...

See thread "Working on the A/C and carpet". Maybe I should have started one thread for all my projects.

Not yet. I did lay the front section in, just for inspiration. I have decided to wait on installing my interior till the car is painted. Hopefuly in a couple of months.

I was removing the headliner and other things and I saw dirt and debris falling to the floor and don't want my carpet getting in harms way.
It did look sweet though. And it made me re think the car color.

I have my carpet from Trim parts, and sad to say, didn't fit well over the trans hump. Maybe I got the one for the cat hump, and that extra is bunching under my floor shifter...Not really bad, just a little annoying...

I think we talked about this in another thread, but I had the same problem. I added insulation to take up the space. Also, I added spacers under my shifter to keep it from bunching and wrinkling the carpet.
