I was just wondering how hard it would be to change a 75 big bumpered maverick to a small 71-72 Year maverick and if they will bolt up without any fabrication.

They do not just bolt up. There is some fabrication involved. Put up your email address and I'll send you an article I wrote on how to do it.

How about the 77's? How about pushing the big bumper's in. Is there a secret to moving the brackets or do you just push them in with something? I seen a picture of a maroon 77'. Spent a couple of day looking back for it and couldn't find it. Looked really neat And easier than small bumper swap. Thanx for help

You were probably looking at RadMav's car. He surfaces here once in a while. Search the members and try emailing him.

I had a 74 Comet and I did the bumper slide as well years ago. I just ran the car lightly into a telephone pole on both sides until it was where I wanted it ... Seriously! :)

Hey - I was 18 at the time and the car had a $250 Maaco paint job on it! But it had a hood scoop! I used the telephone pole with the Basketball hoop on it in the picture below :)

Dan, all I can say is :slap: :D

Frank, I am confused , did you do this mod or just mock it up to see how it looks? If you did do it how did you do the bumper "slides"? I have to admit, I haven't taken a very good look at how the bigger bumper cars have the bumpers mounted, so sorry if I am asking the obvious on how you did it?

    Thanks! :bananaman :bananaman
