Yes. I use 1.5" wheel adapters for my late model Mustang wheels, and they could still stand to be a little wider apart. Width of that rearend would be excellent for 05+ Mustang wheels. I've got my eyes open for a deal one one myself.
I had ranger wheels on my Mustang and on my Comet... no biggie But the new mustangs use a different bolt pattern than the typical ones on our cars. or so I'm told
no front wheel drive ford five lugs work but i know ranger, explorer, jeeps, crown vic, etc.... my only thing is the mustang wheels hitting the leaf spring but i think this should do it. i was putting a 4in lift on a 01 ranger 4x4 today at work and it measured the same as hawkcos. had 4.10 on tag and wheels turned the same direction when spun. only thing was that it had drums. but just because its four wheel drive doesnt always mean its a posi rear. ive found that some are 3x4s or 4x3s however it goes.
and just because both wheels turn the same direction doesnt mean its a posi or not. Seen cases where it was a posi when it spun opposite directions (worn clutches) Also seen a case when when they both spun same direction, it wasnt a posi either
mini spool.i got one from summit last year... 24.99 and a new pin was 14.99 easy to install, just takes a few hours in labor to drop the center section and disassemble the carrier, and then put it all back together. i never rebuilt a rearend once in my life until i did mine. and i actually had it all together perfect the first time..
I still have to say,,, no mini or spools on the street,,, No manufactor will recommend it for a reason
Either way, every time you go around a curve one of your rear tires is going to be squealing. Around corners you lose 1/2 your traction in the drive wheels and that makes driving in the rain, snow, or ice a difficult challenge at best.
Or what we call it here in Arkansas.... FUN! lol the squealing is not as bad as people say. if you don't try to make sharp 90 degree turns, it won't do it near as bad, but still not great on parts.
The squealing isn't bad on blacktop or dirt and clay roads but on concrete they squeal. A lot! Constantly around here because there aren't any straight roads. But the worst part is the loss of traction. Quick u-turns when you least expect it are not fun.
The only time I ever hear my tires squeal is when I am in a parking lot trying to get parked...mostly at shows. It doesn't bother me at all though. Just draws more attention to my car when I arrive. Asphalt or concrete, either one gets their attention. I've driven it in rain many times and it's never tried to break loose but I haven't gotten stupid with it either. I know it wouldn't take much to make it break loose. I am geting ready to put on a set of M/T ET Drag Radials so that may change everything. They may queal much more than the street tires I've been running. I'll let ya know soon.
