John, first of all, glad your O.K. secondly I'm not familiar enough with your suspension setup to criticize it or the fabricator, were the welds the actual weak link in the setup or did something else give way first?
I'm anxious to hear what you think happened and the sequence it happened in.
It's a tough break but we can all learn a lesson from this I think, again, glad your O.K.

Wow, god thing it did not happen at a high speed! Glad that you are OK and as everyone said, the car can be fixed or replaced.

Looked like it did it on the shift to second...The next time someone brags about how hard thier car hits second...show them this!

Seriously, Glad you are OK. And it sure makes me sick to see that happen to your sweet ride. Hope you get it fixed soon.

    I am OK.
After studying it. It looks like the welds came lose, I am sure this happend over a period of time. There is no parts failure that I can find. Everything is still together.
I have talked to the guy that did the work. He is very staright up guy.He will take care of it.
    Thanks again, John.

Again, I am so thankful that it happend when it did.....if you can make it out in the video, the rear of the car went pretty high up in the air at the speed I was going....at the big end it would have been much worse.

I feel like I had these parts built to the best I could.....I am now learning that there is better and safer ways to have done it......but I had know ideal that the way these bars were put on was ......well maybe not wrong.....but maybe not the best/safest way  I put my trust in the guy that did.....again he is a very respected chassis builder around this area. and I am sure he built it with the confidence that it would hold together. Unfurtunately, it did not....now whether it was bad welding or what...I have no ideal. I am not upset with the guy at all. He is a friend and fellow racer and him and I together will make it right.
I really feel bad for my uncle who put countless hours into the car prepping and painting it. Thats what really bothers me.....the parts can be replaced...out of my pocket.
All in all.......it was a mishap that happend...........one thing is for sure....it will be fixed and I will roll it down the 1/4 mile again! (y)
    Thanks again, John.

Does anyone have the ability to capture a "still" of that video when the car was at its highest point in the air?
I did a slow-mo of it and ,,,,,,,DAMN! that thing was in the air!

Yeah it was!! I have replayed and paused it a bunch of times now, and it was up there for sure!! Get that monster goin' again!!! "Luck!! Preston

found some more damage this weekend.
Looks like the rear end smashed up on the floor board before it quit pulling...big hole and also the rear valance is bent pretty bad where the car came to a rest on the passenger tire.
I am sure there is more to be found.
