I know this doesn't have anything to do with your problem, but I really like your steering wheel. Where did you get it? And what kind is it, if you know?
Its a gt grant, my uncle gave it to me when he sold his camaro, you can get it anywere they sell grants
I'm no expert, but after viewing your vids, I'm even more inclined to believe it to be fuel related now (rather than electrical) - but my Right/Wrong ratio is about 50/50 so take that FWIW.
I agree, it sounds like you have a fuel delivery problem. It also sounds like it's not fireing on a couple of cylinders, but that may just be your camera making it sound that way.
heres the vid of my uncle trying to start it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHYDmTd64uY tomorrow i'm going to fill up the tranny with new fluid and buy the regulator and gauge. how much PSI does my holley 4160(6919) need? thanks
Whats an easy way to hotwire the car for extended running? I started mine this way as the dash is in storage while the car is apart and burned up my Pertronix(I may have jumpered to the wrong post tho, don't remember), so I swapped my points back in. The voltage is dropped to 6v to the coil right? Is there anywhere open in the wiring harness to jump in to use the built in resistor? Btw, nearly a year since I started the old girl, fired right up.
Well it fire right up today I put a 1 gallon tank to the fuel line under the drivers door...tuned the carb richer... ....but then the carb would not stop squirting fuel even after it died While it was running i remembered i left the charger hooked up, and when i went to go see it it was rattleling because of the engine and it almost fell, it would have probably shorted and burned up like my other one did...when i finally unhooked it i couldn't find my screwdriver to adjust the carb(engine was a 4K) when i found one the engine died... ....then i found out i forgot to hook up the tranny lines so what makes the carb squirt fuel like crazy?I rebuilt it about a month ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgmPN1iOsxs
Btw, nearly a year since I started the old girl, fired right up.[/quote] Mine sat for 22 years and all i had to do was splash some gas in the carb and she fired right up
