    Back in 1996 when I started The Ford Maverick Information Site, I used a free remotely hosted forum. I went through several of them before settling on wwwboard in 1998. It was a big improvement over the remotely hosted boards, but under heavy loads, the entire forum would get erased! I also had to reset the board every month as the forum was just one long page that would keep getting longer with each new post. I then switched to another forum software in 2001 which had pagination and allowed file uploads. As more people visited the forum the script started to get heavy on the server and my host would disable it. With contributions from the forum members, I bought Vbulletin 2 in March of 2002 and earlier this year, I upgraded to version 3.

    Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
    are you able to tell where most come from? or link from? just wondering? MCCI sties other sites.. i had someone contact me from another mb to post up banners and links for this site. do we have one? or do you want one on another mb?

    The stats for November show that 85% of people reach the site by typing in "maverick.to" or have it bookmarked. Another 10% come from search engines and the remaining come from Maverick/Comet sites. There have been 60 people that clicked on a link from maverickman.com this month.
