Is there ant differance in the clutch pedal assyembly by year or application that is different. Were they different from a 200, 250, or 302 in the way they bolt up or in any certain application? I am thinking of going to a 5-speed Tremec. I need the pedals to start with. Do I need 302 specific/year specific pedals to work?

As far as I know all of the clutch pedal assemblies are the same. They only got different starting at the z-bars. You can get a pedal assy out of any year Mav/Com.

The early pedals do attach differently to the support bar than the late model pedals ...

My 69.5 originally came with an automatic so I went junk yard hunting and found a donor car for the clutch pedals. All I remember was that it was a small bumper Maverick. Everything fit perfectly. In fact I didn't even grab the under dash pedal frame from the standard shift donor car. I removed all of my original automatic pedal parts from the original frame and all of the standard pedal parts fit right in their place. :thumbs2:

If 70 pedals are in fact unique, I suppose I got lucky and the donor car must have been a 70 after all.

Basically ... small bumper cars use a shaft and clip to hold the clutch/brake pedal in the support. Big bumper cars use a Bolt .... When I had my 74 I tried to install an early clutch/brake pedal in it ... would not work since the support bracket was different.

Thinking about that trip to the junkyard back around 1990, I have no idea why I left the pedal frame behind from the donor car. This forum didn't exist yet so there was really no "go to" place to learn that the auto and standard frames were exactly the same. I guess I got lucky big time. :bananaman
