cold start

    try adjust the choke on the carb, just 2 screws and u turn the black cap to rich or lean out the choke, for colder starts u want to richen it a bit, mine is set a few marks past the center point...give that a shot hope it helps. i have about the same setup as you(duralast gold batt, points, 200i6)

    Hmmm. I don't have the part number. Just look for the Pertronix Ignitor at the local auto parts store.

    It is just a points replacement. You unscrew the points and throw them away. You screw down the pertronix unit which has 2 wires coming out of it and out of the distributor.

    Then there is a little plastic sleeve for going around the distributor shaft under the rotor. The sleeve has little magnets imbedded into it, I think, so as the magnets rotate around with the rotor, it triggers the electrical signal.

    You need the 6 banger unit. Scooper's got a V8. Not the same conversion module.

    For the i6, the Pertronix part you want is #1261. Also, if you have a pre 74 car, you may want to upgrade the coil.
