Column shift

    How do you remove the column shift from our cars? I'm tryin to remove on from a 75. Thanks...

    you have to remove the lower glove box area and radio area

    to remove the column:
    remove the lower dash area, remove the trim peice that goes around the column, remove the 3 nuts that hold the column to the bracket, remove the 4 bolts that bolt the floor plate to the firewall, unplug electrical connections, go under the hood and disconnect the shifter linkage, and remove the 7/16" 12pt bolt from the shaft that's just right below the rag joint near the gear box.... and start pulling :)

    to remove the shifter arm/lever:
    simple drive out the roll pin that holds it in place, twist and wiggle...... :)
