comet gt hood scoop placement?

please help me out with the correct hood scoop placement on a comet gt. i have searched a little and found that it should be placed 1 7/8 inches from the back, is this correct?
i also need to know which mounting stud holes on the scoop are used. on some places, there are two or three next to each other.
i have estimated where the studs might come out - is it correct that they all need to go through the support bracing on the underside? would make sense, in my opinion, to strengthen it.
maybe someone has pictures and exact measurements...

I would say the placement is 1 &13/16 inches from the edge of the hood myself.

As you can see the bolts go thru the bracing in all but 3 places.

i think this is the only way to cut the hood, due to the support bracing underneath...

 

I agree. I think that it still looks good.

 

i first thought it might be possible to have some kind of ram air setup, with the air cleaner reaching up to the hood, sealing it with rubber. but that doesn't seem to be possible due to the bracing.

second thing is rain - what will happen if i drive this car in heavy rain? what will happen to all the debris being allowed to flow in? maybe i should put something in the front opening of the scoop...
