It was the rubber section about 12" long. Goes down under the power steering pump...

Went to take my wife to dinner tonight in the Comet. Wanted to do another shake down cruise. It fired right up, ran about 1 minute & died. Fired up & died, etc, etc...I ended up buying a fuel pump ($20). Won't be able to put it in until Thursday night. I'm working 2 jobs, don't get home until 11:30pm...Maybe you'll be here Cliff, & I can get your help..LOL

Got the fuel pump put in. Won't fire. Turns over just fine. Damn, I hate taking it out again. When Cliff gets here, we'll tackle it again. Talk about crunch time! We leave tomorrow night....

did you start it with pouring some fuel into the carb? it has to run a couple seconds before the gas goes from the tank to the carb. especially if you replaced one or more lines and the filter too. good luck and dont push it. if you cant bring that one this year, you can just hang out and well show up next year with our rides.(y)

Got it fixed! It's a go! hen Cliff got here, he noticed the new fuel line hose was to soft & collapsing on itself. We replaced the sections of hose with stiffer one. Fired right up. We were comparing what we have in our cars for backup on the trip. Talk about having our bases covered. Between the two of us, we have an auto repair shop on wheels. LOL Will get on here, one more time this evening, when we are leaving. Next time will probably after the trip. Unless we run into someone with a puter in California....

Good thing Coop's running my old 6A box. Might give a little more ignition reliability on the way down. Enjoy the trip!
