Comet with T-Tops?

    hmmmmm... waddaya think dennis? is that passenger side worth saving? if only the outer panel is through, it may be easy to weld ina new piece? i'm not much of a body man but the kids at votech love my mav! they'd fix it!

    Another view. I've looked through dozens of pictures of the car to find you a better shot. If it ever stops raining, I'll be able to get to the car and see it in person again. (6.75 inches today since 6 AM)

    very common spot for rust, mine are toast too, and I am from cali.

    Look into what was the trunk with a flashlite, and look at that corner from the inside. You should be able to tell if it has rusted through yet, or is about to.

    Naa, the ones on my 71 are better than that. I was just gonna get them if they were rust free.

    that 2000 pound planter box is sounding better all the time. thanks doug but trash it. i'll stumble across one sooner or later!

    "RUST FREE"

    See...there is no such thing as a "rust free" Maverick! You don't even need salted roads to rust them. Virtually every Maverick I've seen has a hint of rust in those areas.

    (That's why I sacrificed the quarters and saved the taillight panel).
