Is that a factory rubber floor mat in brown !?! If so, that can't be common. Wow!

The paint is a pretty good match. Comparing paint on plastic vs metal is always a challenge. The sheen tend to be different and makes the color change a bit.

It's a little hard to tell but looks a touch light in a lot of the pics.

Wow, I've only ever seen one other car with no carpet.

Yep, factory rubber mat. I believe they can be had through AutoKrafters. Mine will need to be replaced, looks good but the rubber is starting to give way. I like it, but would want a sound deadner under it.

That was my fear, it's a little light. I may go get me another darker color and shoot it again. I've only color painted the back lid, easy fix at this point. I may let it sit for a few days and look at it again, it may change a little when fully cured. That and my ginger interior is about 4-6 different shades, all the pieces don't match (sad..)

I've seen other cars with a floor mat, but always black.

Pics of interior parts are really difficult to capture accurately. My black interior that looks good to the eye photographs poorly because all the different materials are a different sheen and the camera is so unforgiving.

With that piece being separated from other Ginger items, I would say a 50/50 call by the pics. I agree a touch light, but you have to be the final judge visually. If you need to search further, Ginger was a 71-73 Mustang color, and I would bet that some of the Mustang parts houses would be a great place to look for a match.

My paint code indicates medium ginger, $25 bucks though, kind of pricey! That and 40 years of sun and fading won't guarantee a perfect match. I went down and got another can ‘o’ brown tonight and made a paint chip, when it dry’s I’ll take a look in the light and see where I’m at.

If I’m not satisfied after two or three more cans (LOL) I’ll pop for the $25 job. I do appreciate the link though.

I think the last batch looks pretty darn good.

You've got your hands full there. It doesn't look like ANYTHING matches! I would probably at least paint the dash to match and then possibly the inner doors. I wouldn't try to make it match the carpet, headliner or door panels though. Make it match something else that is painted.

Yep, several shades. Nearly every piece is different from one another. Kind of makes me wonder if anybody else has the same color matching issues?

From what I've seen the blues appear to match pretty we'll. The greens appear to be off a little like mine, not as bad though.

I going to try at least one more color, if I can find a shade darker (just a tad) I think I may be satified. The other option would be to match the paint and vinyl dye the entire interior.

Personally, I would try to get it to match the dash since it will sit under it and the package tray....your eyes would be more drawn to compare the two, IMO..... that rare paper sack brown can be tricky to match.
